Good Friends

I feel so fortunate to have been blessed with good firends. Stacy is a the most special friend in my life. She has been my friend since we were in the fourth grade and have been close all though our lives. I think that God blesses girls without sisters with a kindred spirit. Thank you, Lord for choosing Stacy as my kindred spirit.

Oh, yeah....we also have beautiful children. God Bless! Posted by Picasa

To Levelland for Grandma's birthday!

Rylan and Papa had a good time playing. Rylan really likes to "wrestle Papa."

Here are the Smart's with Papa, Cindy, and Grandma. It is a Smart famiy tradition to take all of the families photos at all famiy gatherings. Most like to pretend that they are irritated, but eveyone loves to look at old photos (Grandma has an album for every year with all pictures labled) and see how much we have all changed.
Joe taught the boys how to fish in the pond. They actually caught a couple of goldfish, but threw them back. Rylan tried to stab the fish with the pole. He has a lot to learn.

Cont. Levelland trip

Ashlynn and Rylan love the golf fish pond. I was pretty sure that we were going to be fishing Rylan out at any moment.

Rylan made friends with his cousin Xander. This is the first time that they were old enough to remember one another.

Happy 79 th Birthday Grandma!

As most people know, Rocky does not eat fried food. He really hates Crisco (which is what makes this picture funny).

P.S. Mom, he thought that you would love to see this!

Six Flags 2006

We had a great day at Six Flags. The weather was nice, the lines were short, and the kids had a ton of fun. Yes, we are all wearing red on purpose. It made it really easy to find each other. We were there for 8 hours (the kids would have stayed much longer), but I was so much more fun than usual. Now, that doesn't mean that I plan to go again until next year, Ha Ha!

Rylan enjoyed most of the rides, but we loved the look of fear on his face while riding the once know as "log ride". The only ride that Ashlynn did not like was the Superman Tower of Power. I'm glad that she did not get my weak stomache, but even Rocky said that the Superman was tough.

Happy Father's Day!

The kids bought Daddy a new pair of swimming trunks and flip flops for Father's Day. They wrapped the gifts themselves (in Christmas paper). We love you, Daddy!

Finally...got the ears pierced.

Ashlynn and I stayed home from Abilene to go to a birthday party. After the party we had a girls night. She chose to go to the mall. When we got there she decided to get her ears pierced. We also caught a really good sale at Children's Place. We finished the evening off at Chilli's and took some cotton candy home. She was an expensive date, but we had a blast. We missed the boys, but there is nothing like only girls at the mall. God Bless! Posted by Picasa

Going to Nanna's house

Rocky and Rylan made a day trip to Abilene for Colt's birthday . They had a lot of fun. It won't be long until Rylan will need to hold Nanna for the photo!

Summer Spectacular!

We really enjoyed our summer VBS this year. The theme was Joshua which covered the Isrealites in the desert through the walls of Jericho falling. It was three nights of great bible class, an awesome drama preformance, and a family experience (got to try manna, walk through a desert display, really watch the walls fall, etc.) We wore matching shirts each night (along with the rest of the church). It was a lot of fun and well worth the time. Posted by Picasa
