Ashlynn dances, an oleander moved in, and Rylan is a sheep?

Ashlynn's dance club performed friday morning at school. She did great and enjoyed being on stage in front of the entire elementary school.

We updated the landscaping a bit. We planted some dwarf oleander shrubs. I hear that they are hard to kill and bloom may through october.

A sheep, that is what he is. He made it in bible class and we thought that he looked hilarious.

I can't have anything nice!

You may remember the post about never having anything nice. Here is one of those moments.

I worked really hard to make my diet coke cake look a little fancier by stringing white chocolate on it. As you can see I cut the first four pieces to take to my neighbors and was working on cutting the rest to take to friends tonight. Brooke walked by with a shoowee diaper and so I left the project to tend to her. As I was washing my hands, Rylan walks into the bathroom with his face covered in white chocolate. He was holding his tummy saying, “that cake is yummy”. I asked him what he did and he said that he tasted it all over. That little sneak had smeared his little finger all around the cake. You know, I just can’t have anything nice!

Party at the Zoo

Today we went to the Zoo for a birthday party for Daniel Chaney. I thought that I would put a picture on here for all of you Clyde folks so that you could see the Chris Jr.

Friday and Saturday

Well as you can see, Rylan dressed himself on friday. Also you should know that it was 80 degrees outside.

Ashlynn had three friends over for a movie night. They watched Flushed Away and ate popcorn. It is a great way to have friends over and keep the party calm and super cheap. $1.00 for the movie (thank you Redbox) and $1.00 for the popcorn. Rylan enjoyed all of the girls around (he is a lady's man)!

Rylan played game #2 today. He actually scored the first two goals of the game. He didn't do much after that and I found out after the game exactly why. I had told him before the game that I wanted him to score two goals for me. Well he did, then he was done. Next week our goal will be much higher. Also, notice his number! That is not eleven, it is one one. One is his favorite number and he was really excited that he got two ones on his jersey.

Here is one of those two goals that I was telling you about.

Rylan's first Soccer Game

As you can see, pre-game for 3 and 4 year old soccer boys and girls is intense! Lots of talking about where you got your shoes, who has a dog, and did you know I'm having a birthday party. I think eventually they found their toes in a stretch and the MIGHTY ARSENOL hit the indoor soccer field ready to defeat the competition.

Here are some action shots of Rylan. I'm glad that we got them early, because he quickly became more interested in making new friends instead of kicking the ball. He made lots of introductions while the ball zoomed past. Occasionally the ball would hit his foot and he would give it a little kick and then turn to us with an excited thumbs up. You may know my husband, I think that he may need blood pressure meds to make it through this season.

Of course, the best part of all kids sports is the snack at the end of the game. All in all it was lots of fun. We have a long way to go before we start telling you about his number of goals per game.
Thanks for coming to watch, Brian!

Easter Day

We had a great day! The Easter Bunny paid a visit (second photo), we attended church at home (we are usually in Childress), had an egg hunt, and enjoyed being together. The photo at the bottom is all of the kids in our care group that our kids hunted eggs with last night.

A Jedi party for Rylan's friend Drew

Rylan's friend, Drew, had a great Jedi party. He loves Star Wars so his mom made these very creative Jedi costumes and they had fights with "light savers" made from swimming noodles and duck tape. I have a bit of a struggle keeping up with all of these wonderfully creative moms, so I just usually copy them.

Happy Birthday Month, Keith!

Leaderboard
Create your own Friend Quiz here
April is the birthday month of Keith L. Pierce! To celebrate him, I have created a test. Please fill it out to find out just how well you know Keith. The winner will receive a framed photo of the birthday man with his autograph. Good Luck!

The "high jinks" of Easter

So Keith was laying an egg......
You don't have to look hard to find lots of crazy faces trying to find a camera!

Then there was the new shoe drama. Rylan's new shoes were too small even though I was determined that he wear them anyway. You men, a little foot pain in the name of fashion will not kill you!

Of course, he won. Nothing like tennis shoes with your pin stripe suit.

After many picture snapping, Brooke said "Stop" and Rylan said, "I can't take it anymore"!
