MacArthur vs. Irving High
Well, we won. We had to go to overtime. Final score 40 to 32. This is the big rival game and it felt like a homecoming game. There were more people there than I have seen so far this year. Apparently, Irving High always plays their best game against Mac. Unfortunately, there were a couple of injuries last night. One of their kids had a neck injury and had to be taken off of the field. We have also had so many injuries this year. We have lost several of our defensive players. We always want to win, but I never like watching a kid being taken off of the field in a stretcher. As you can see Rylan enjoyed wearing Rocky's headset. I know that I will blink twice and he will standing beside his daddy in a football uniform.

Our Weekend

I really enjoyed visiting our family this weekend. I got that oppurtunity to video my grandparents for a movie that I am going to put together. I had so much fun listening to them talk about things that they remember about being a kid. They talked about each of their six kids. The best part was hearing them talk about how they met, fell in love, and married. They are the best example of a christian marriage that I have ever seen. We are blessed to have their example.
As you can see the kids got to spend time with their grandparents, too. We all had a blast.

A minor face-lift to the blog
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to make sure that you take notice of my new links and counter. The first one is Brian and Shelly's blog. As you know they have a very cute baby girl (who looks nothing like her aunt but is still adorable).
There is also a direct link to my calender. I am tying to keep it updated. I use it mostly for booking my appointments, but you might find your birthday there. P.S. If you don't find your birthday there...I still love you and am probably just not being effecient.
The next one is a link to our church's online sermons. We have a wonderful preacher (Rick Atchley) who never ceases to amaze me with his messages.
Also, there is a link to I Believe....Designs. This is a wonderful site for ordering customized gifts. She does amazing work. I especially love her bags and baby stuff. Oh, did I mention that she is one of my favorite people in the world and has been my friend for 22 years. Check it out!
The last thing over there is a counter. I know that your checking in on us, which I love so feel free to comment.
May God Bless your day!

First Game is a win!
MacArthur defeats Arlington Seguin. It is always more fun to start the year with a WIN! I was really anticipating the season this year. At the home games, we have reserved parking (YEA) and great seats not to mention, this is such a fun team to watch. The weather was unbelievable tonight. Most of the time the first game of the year is miserable. Tonight was cool with a light breeze. And of course, winning feels good no matter what the temperature.
I love this picture of Rocky and the kids watching the team huddle!
Here is Rocky's O-Line!
And of course the final score! Go Cardinals!God Bless!

Playing at the park
Rylan, Brooke, and I played at the park this morning. It was almost cool. It was a great day to be outside. Rylan played with some of the other little boys there and Brooke watched them. We also got in the swings for a little while. Brooke was sure what to think about that. This is Rylan's favorite park. They all have names (the red park, the green park, and the yellow park), but this one is the GREAT BIG GIANT HUGE park.
God Bless!

Having fun at home!
We are having so much fun at home! We have our little routine and Rylan has gotten so attatched to Brooke. He misses her on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As you can imagine, I take several pictures everyday. I think that I must have been a photographer in my former life. I am working to get better, but I have a long way to go. You must admit, I have beautiful subjects. God Bless!

Boys day at the park
Rocky and Rylan spent the afternoon at the park together with no girls. I think that they both had a good time. Rylan even walked with his chest puffed out when they returned. It's amazing how tough that he thinks he is when he has spent time with his daddy.
This is Rylan's "tough guy" face! God Bless!

Rocky with the family
We had lots of family come for Rocky's graduation. We missed you Britney and Blue! And where did Mark disapear to? We should tell him that it is part of marrying into the family to get your photo WITH the family.
We also had both of my brothers, Shelly, and Brooke come. We even took the most absurd path from home to UTA. If you ever want to feel that you are "in the country" while driving to Arlington just let us know.
Here is Rocky with his mom! God bless!

The puppet show
Ashlynn is a second grader!
We are back in full swing of our routine. Ashlynn loves her new teacher and is excited to make new friends. Rylan is trying to get used to it just being he and I at home during the day. Brooke is with us M, W, and F so that if fun for Rylan. He likes to read to her. She likes to grab the book. Ashlynn says that she went down the wrong hallway yesterday because she forgot that she was in second grade instead of first. She is growing up so fast. God Bless!
